Using two databases in the same system.

Hi everyone.

Is it possible to use two different databases in the same Genio application? If yes, how can i implement?

I need to transfer records from one database to another (to free up space), end allow me to consult these same records with any small module of the same system.

To be able to create a connection in the middle of the manual code to a different database, you can put a DataSystem in the AuxSystems of the Configuration.xml file and then use PersistentSupport.getPersistentSupportAux.

However, this does not serve to have one of the modules access that Database.

The closest mechanism we have is multi-year. One database for each year.

And one more suggestion regarding freeing up space. If the project has active logs/audits, you can use the log data transfer mechanism to another database.
