Checkout operation: This operation gets all the information that is stored in the central server database overwriting your local definitions. This process requires a connection to central server in order to transfer data and could take longer to finish because it transfers all information.
Discard operation: The discard operation removes all changes made in your local server and restores it to the last update/checkout state. This operation doesn't require a connection to the central server because it uses the auxiliary definitions database stored in your local server.
