Deleting directly in sql does not update related sum

I have two tables that are related, one of which has a related sum over the other's data. I did the import of the table through excel but I put the wrong values, so directly in sql I deleted the table, but when I go to another table the related sum has values and does not update to 0 and when I go back to importing the other table it sums about that value. Is there a way to get around this without having to also delete the related sum value in sql?

Genio cannot be expected to recover from all situations where there is data handling directly in the persistent support. Mainly where relationships between tables are involved.

Be very careful when manipulating data directly in persistent support without involving the Genio API.
However, in this situation described, the Genio in a future version will have to correct the data, but always in a system maintenance mode.
